Are mental health services so bad that they should be cut?

Health services in Australia have long been criticized for being too slow to respond to people with mental health needs.
But recent research has revealed a stark gap in Australia’s mental health care systems between the OECD average and that of other developed countries.
A new report by the Australian Mental Health Foundation found that Australians with mental illness have a higher suicide rate than those without, and that the suicide rate is higher among those who have been prescribed psychiatric drugs and who have not sought treatment.
The authors also found that Australian mental health providers were less likely to have a mental health professional working full time than their counterparts in the United States.
The report, The Future of Mental Health Services in Australia, was published on Wednesday.
A key finding of the report is that Australia’s lack of a national mental health service system can be traced back to its isolation and high-risk status.
The country’s isolation, low socioeconomic status, and high level of inequality have all contributed to the high suicide rate in Australia.
Australia’s highest suicide rate comes from the state of Victoria, which is located in a remote region of the country.
There, the suicide rates are higher than the average of the OECD countries.
According to the report, the high rate of suicide in the state is due in part to the fact that it has the highest rate of non-Western immigrants, which tend to be unemployed, with little to no access to employment.
The study also found the high rates of mental health issues and mental health treatment are also linked to higher rates of substance use.
Mental health problems are not limited to suicide, according to the study.
“A lack of adequate mental health infrastructure in Australia is a significant problem,” said Dr. Robert Riddell, co-author of the paper.
“In a country of more than 200 million people, the rate of mental disorders is the highest in the OECD.”
The research also found Australia’s rates of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are higher in the rest of the world.
Australia has also been accused of failing to provide adequate mental healthcare to its citizens.
However, the authors of the study said the findings are important for understanding Australia’s “mental health system”.
“Australia’s mental healthcare system is poorly managed, with high rates being found in a number of settings,” said Riddoll.
“These findings suggest that Australia should focus on improving the availability and accessibility of mental healthcare services.”
