Alexandra Anna Daddario was born on March 16, 1986 in New York City, her father Richard Daddario is a prosecutor by profession and mother Christina is a lawyer. Her brother is Matthew Daddario, an actor by profession, and her sister, Catherine Daddario, is also an actress, and her grandfather was Congressman Emilio Daddario (Emilio Que Daddario) from Connecticut. She also has Italian, Irish, Hungarian/Slovak ancestry.
Alexandra Daddario wanted to become an actress since childhood. She made her film debut at the age of 16, when she played the role of “Laurie Lewis” in All My Children (1970). Alex worked with Logan Lerman and Brandon T. Jackson as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson films, also co-starring in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013). It was based on Rick Riordan’s best-selling teen books. In late 2012, Alex starred in the music video, “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons.
Alexandra’s performance in the earthquake film San Andreas (2015) came to prominence, alongside Dwayne Johnson, and also starred as Blake Gaines in the films Hall Pass (2011), Texas Chainsaw (2013), and Baywatch (2017).
